Theresa May rakes in £109,000 for five-hour speaking engagement in Denmark
FORMER PM Theresa May raked in a whopping £109,000 for a five-hour speaking engagement in Denmark.
It continues her profitable run since leaving 10 Downing Street — with a staggering £641,000 earned for just 54 hours of work since the start of this year alone.
That’s an hourly rate of almost £12,000 and she has now trousered more than £2.1million on the speaking circuit since July 2019.
Her latest payment came last month for a talk at the Danish Law Society in Copenhagen, which she registered with Parliament’s Register of Financial Interests.
The great Danish pay day for the Maidenhead MP comes after she received £404,800 for six speaking engagements in the US.
The client also gave her an assistant plus an accommodation package worth £3,400 in March.
