Binley Mega Chippy customers take our parking, dump trash and now we have to wait an HOUR for chips – it’s a nightmare
A CHIP shop has battered its local community after becoming an internet sensation overnight, residents said.
Neighbours complained of excessive litter, parking wars and boy racers causing a racket into the early hours outside Binley Mega Chippy.
Some said visitors constantly singing a TikTok jingle about the takeaway is driving them mad while others warned that huge crowds gathering have spoiled it for locals.
The fish and chip shop in Coventry, West Midlands, has attracted hundreds of visitors from as far as Australia after becoming a hit on the video-sharing social media app last week.
Carpenter Zahin Akhtar, 47, who lives two doors down, said: “The parking has become a nightmare. The rubbish strewn everywhere is ridiculous.
"I think the local trade is being killed off at the expense of visitors coming from afar."

Some teens have camped overnight in order to beat queues and police warned visitors to respect the local residents, with officers regularly patrolling the area.
But Zahin said boy racers have used the chippy as a car meeting spot, when drivers did burnouts and allowed their exhausts to backfire.
Fireworks were also let off into the early hours, he said.
And mum Becky Davison, 37, told The Sun that an elderly man who would sit at the bus stop with his chips and watch the world has not been seen since the craze began.
She said: "I feel sorry for the regulars. He won't even venture out because the queues are too long and the noisy kids hanging around in the front are putting him off.
"It may be the only time he used to get out and now he can't face it."
She said locals were being pushed out by “strangers coming for a day out and to get their faces on TikTok", adding: “I don't know what all the fuss it about. It’s just a pile of pointless potatoes.
"There are plenty of chip shops in Coventry which are a lot better."
Resident Emma Robertson also warned the increased traffic is causing a danger to life.
Meanwhile, a boy in a wheelchair was hit in the head by a football when visitors were playing in the carpark, a YouTube video shows.
Chef Kieran McGuigan, 26, added the craze has caused a headache for his work team at a nearby pub-restaurant, adding: “It is just madness with crowds, noise, cars beeping.
"People are inundating it and then driving to our car park round the corner, sitting there and tucking in.
“Then they’re throwing their rubbish into out skip expecting us to empty it. It's a bit cheeky and out of order.”
OH COD!
Neighbour Stan Stanly, 36, said the TikTok jingle is all he ever hears, adding: "That music is maddening!
“Good luck to the guys running the place who are cashing in. It is not their fault and we’re not blaming them, just the situation it has caused.”
Resident Ryan Mayo, 27, fumed: “There is lots of rubbish now, not enough bins, lots of noise which is a din.
"And you know what? It’s not the best chippy around.”
Operations manager Frank Nakra insisted the takeaway had only received one noise complaint.
He added: "He wasn't blaming us and it was out of our control but he wanted to make us aware he wasn't happy.
“We have taken his comments on board and whilst there was no trouble whatsoever but we don’t want locals to be upset by souped-up cars meeting here for whatever reason.
"Most local people are fully supportive and we have staff seeing to all the extra rubbish that is being generated and they are sweeping and cleaning the car park."
