BARBER Gordon Hendricks and doctor Andrew Mason may seem unlikely Elvis acts – but they both agree turning into The King changed their lives.
The pair have years of experience in the famed white jumpsuit.
As it comes to the final week of our contest to find the ultimate Elvis fan or tribute artist, both have urged megafans to take part.
Snipper Gordon, who is now too busy at festivals and on tour to cut hair and has put his barber shop in the hands of his son, says: “The love people have for Elvis, whether aged three or 73, is incredible.
“To step into his shoes, you feel like The King.”
And although now-retired GP Andrew, 74, hung up his blue suede shoes after a special millennium gig, he says: “I’d encourage people to give it a go. I had fabulous fun.”
Gordon, from Stoke-on-Trent, found Elvis fame in 2005 doing ITV talent show Stars In Their Eyes.
He began touring and has performed across the UK, in Australia and the US.
