A RAT expert has warned "no one is safe" with fears 150m rats are running loose across the UK... and some are reportedly the size of CATS.
The invasion of rats into UK homes has increased by 25% each year over the pandemic, partly because people staying home meant there was less food on the streets.
The problem is getting so out of hand that two weeks ago bin men were reportedly attacked by rats.
Pest control expert Ian Helands said: "They're cunning and getting bolder and bolder. Basically, if they want to get into your home, they will.
"There are more rats than ever and they are taking over. I have seen some the size of cats."
, a Sussex pest control company suggests getting rat gates for water pipes, measurements used previously in rural areas near canals but now recommended for crowded urban areas.
The Daily Star reported the number of rats in the UK is currently the highest its ever been.

Ian explained he has been on more jobs than ever before as people are reporting massive rats coming up their toilets.
He said: "Rats are excellent swimmers with bendy bones and can squeeze into the smallest of spaces.
"They can hold their breath for three minutes and tread water for three days, and they are coming up waste pipes."
