Now his family in New York City are questioning why four days of surveillance footage, which may hold clues into his death, has disappeared.

Jose’s niece Yari Tejeda told : “Right on top of where he was found, there’s a security camera.

“From April 20 to 24, the video footage is deleted.”

Footage of officials finding the badly decomposed body exists, according to the local outlet.

Last month, harrowing new details emerged in the murder of a teen, who vanished after being spotted walking alone on “death road”.

Debanhi Escobar, 18, was found in an abandoned water tank just metres away from where she was last seen getting out of a cab in the north Mexican city of Monterry.

Investigators with the Nuevo Leon State of the Attorney General confirmed they were reviewing footage surrounding the mysterious appearance.

That came after a haunting photo of her was taken by a rideshare driver on the morning of April 9 just before she vanished.
