Shock twist after badly decomposed bodies of couple found during wellness check at their condo after sister called cops

A COUPLE'S badly decomposed bodies have been found inside a home after a relative called the cops.

Officers made the shocking discovery at a condo in Lakewood Ranch, on May 27.

A woman requested a wellness check after she had not heard from her sister and brother-in-law for a week, according to the

Manatee County Sheriff's Office believes Tery McAvoy, 74, killed his wife, 63, before himself, WFLA reported.

Cops believe they died in a murder-suicide as officers described the deaths as "suspicious".

The bodies couldn't be positively identified due to the "advanced stage" of decomposition.

The motive for the suspected murder-suicide remains unknown.

Cops also revealed that there is no active threat to the community.

On May 28, a badly decomposed body was found in a woodland area of Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana.

Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux said a passerby detected a foul smell in a ditch near Highway 417 in Bachelor, reports.

The woman hasn’t been identified as officials wait for autopsy results.

Cops continue to search for clues as they try to positively identify the woman.

And, a construction worker in Texas found the decomposed remains of a man in the middle of an interstate.

Glenn Earl Stanley’s body was discovered between the concrete barriers of the interstate on May 17.

Stanley, 61, was reported missing by his family on March 23.

On the same day, a decomposed body was found in a ditch near railroad tracks in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Cops and detectives rushed to the scene after receiving a call from a worker, reports.

Officers revealed the man had no clothes on.

The remains were positively identified as belonging to Larry Cecil Howe, 61.

Sgt. Charlie Eipper revealed no foul play was involved in Howe's death.

Two severely burned bodies were found inside a burning car in the Bronx, New York on May 16.

Authorities found a Honda Accord car engulfed in flames alongside the road.

After the flames were extinguished, two unidentified bodies were discovered.

Police said one body was found in the vehicle's driver's seat and the other was located in the front passenger seat, the  reports.

Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
