EXCITED Brits dressed up and got the party started ahead of the long weekend celebrating Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Revellers hit the town last night in the first celebrations for the Bank Holiday weekend with costumes, bright colours and Royal-themed props.
Punters painted the town red, white, and blue with British flags and mask cutouts of the Queen's face last night.
Boozy Brits headed to bars and clubs across the country to mark the monarch's 70 years on the throne.
In Birmingham, revellers wore the patriotic colours and they danced the night away - without having to rush into work this morning.
And in Leeds, groups of young people - linked by Union Jack bunting - let their hair down amid the celebrations.

Her Majesty's Jubilee celebrations will last four days, kicking off with the Trooping the Colour today.
The 96-year-old is the first British royal to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.
And the May Bank Holiday Weekend - which usually falls at the end of the month - was moved to June 2 to fit in all the fun.
But punters kicked off the celebrations last night in Newcastle - drinking to the early hours.

And in London's Soho, bars were packed out full of people decked in red, white, and blue.
Bouncers and security outside clubs even got into the royal spirit - wearing Queen masks as they let revellers inside to join the party.
Today, the Trooping the Colour will mark the start of four days of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Over 1,500 soldiers and officers, as well as 250 Household Division horses will put on the display.
The colour will be trooped by the 1st Battalion, Irish Guards.
Hundreds of army musicians will also march and perform at the event to celebrate the Queen's official birthday.
On Wednesday the Queen called on the nation to create “happy memories” as she kicks off her Platinum Jubilee party.
In a stirring message, the beloved monarch says she is still “inspired by the goodwill shown to me”.
Her Maj spoke of her hopes that the four-day beano will give people time to “reflect on all that has been achieved in the last 70 years”.
