THESE are the first pictures of a British man charged with two terrorism offences linked to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Benjamin Stimson, 41, from Oldham appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court today.
He is accused of two offences, Greater Manchester Police said.
One involving "the intention of committing acts of terrorism and engaging in conduct in preparation for giving effect to his intention".
The second is "the intention of committing acts of terrorism and assisting acts of terrorism".
They are believed to be the first terrorism charges brought in the UK relating to the conflict.
Stimson was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 7 October.
President Petro Poroshenko made the statement at the country’s parliament session in Kiev as tensions remain high between both nations over Crimea.
The warning has raised fears of a return to war in the country, where the United Nations has noted an ominous recent surge in violence.
In the last two years, more than 9,500 people were killed in the conflict in Donbas, since separatist violence and a ceasefire agreement is routinely violated.
