The girl, referred to by the nickname Cece, said she met Ramos online about two weeks before he carried out the shooting that left 19 students and two teachers dead and more than a dozen others injured.

Cece claims that Ramos showed her via a video call that he recently purchased a rifle and rounds of ammunition in the days leading up to May 24, 2022.

The two reportedly spoke the morning of the shooting, just over an hour before Ramos began his attack.

During that call, Cece claims Ramos showed her his all-black outfit.

Then, hours later upon seeing the news, she says she contacted United States authorities.

RAMOS ENTERED SCHOOL THROUGH THE BACK DOOR

At a press conference on Wednesday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott provided an update on the timeline of events that unfolded on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

Abbott said that after Ramos shot his grandmother, the teen got into a pickup truck that was registered to her.

He then crashed the car less than a mile away, outside of the elementary school.

Ramos reportedly emerged from the car carrying a rifle, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Sergeant Erick Estrada said on CNN.

Officers with the Uvalde school district approached Ramos and engaged in gunfire, Abbott said.

Ramos then entered the elementary school through a back door, went down two hallways, and walked into a classroom on the left-hand side.

The classroom was internally connected to a second classroom, Abbott said.

Officers converged on the classroom and a Border Patrol officer killed Ramos, according to Abbott.

There have been 19 confirmed student deaths, plus two faculty members.

Another 17 people sustained injuries in the attack.

Their injuries are non-life-threatening, Abbott said.

In addition, there were three officers injured in the shooting.
