‘Danny DeVito lookalike’ banker ‘used bribes to pay for sex with hookers in scam costing bank £245m’

Lynden Scourfield had a drawer of Viagra in a London flat used for romps, a court heard

A MARRIED banker at HBOS used bribes to pay for sex parties with hookers who joked he looked like actor Danny DeVito, a court heard yesterday.

Lynden Scourfield, 54, was allegedly showered with cash in a scam that cost the bank £245million.

A jury heard envelopes were dropped at a London flat used for the romps, in a kitchen drawer where Viagra was kept.

Scourfield was an adviser to struggling customers given loans by the HBOS.

He is said to have recommended pal David Mills as an expert to rescue their failing businesses.

Mills, 59, faces corruption and fraud charges at Southwark crown court.

Scourfield, who is not in the dock, was treated to £60,000 worth of exotic holidays and credit card spending, mainly paid for by Mills, it is claimed, and the sex parties.

Scourfield was described by one of the hookers as a “Danny DeVito lookalike, short and bald”, while Michael Bancroft, 73 — another man on trial — is said to have reported with great delight that Scourfield “suffered from premature ejaculation”.

A hooker who spoke to police kept a diary of her romps, with one entry reading: “Met guys, me, Amber and Suzie.

“Chinese meal.

“Then drinks at flat and quick sh**.

“Easy £1,500.”

Mills and wife Alison, 51, of Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucs, deny the charges. Bancroft, of Shipston-on-Stour, Warks, and three other men deny similar charges.

The trial continues.
