KEITH Vaz is refusing to stay out of the spotlight despite investigations into claims he used rent boys with an appearance at Labour’s party conference.
The disgraced MP was pictured at the annual event in Liverpool after the allegations which threaten his political career.
The 59-year-old faces a police probe over allegations he paid for sex with male escorts and discussed the purchase of Class A drugs, as well as a House of Commons inquiry.
He was forced to step down as chief of the powerful Home Affairs Committee over the scandal, but is refusing to resign from Parliament.
And he defiantly turned up to his party’s big get-together after it failed to suspend him, with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn saying it was “a private matter”.
It was unclear if he would make the trip to Liverpool after it was announced an annual event Mr Vaz organised during conference was called off.
Staff at the Eastzeast restaurant in the city said Diversity Nite, which celebrates racial diversity in the Labour party, was cancelled.
