Her husband, Doctor Robert Neulander, had reportedly just returned home from a morning run when he found his wife.

What happened to Robert Neulander?

Almost three years after Leslie's death - which was initially ruled accidental - Robert was charged with the murder of his wife.

Authorities had determined the two were undergoing a separation at the time of her death and were heading towards financial ruin.

Robert was found guilty of her murder in 2014, but he was granted a second trial in October of 2019 by the New York State Court of Appeals for apparent juror misconduct.

Robert was found guilty of Leslie's murder again in March of 2022 - the second time a jury came to that conclusion.

The now-70-year-old received a sentence of 20 years to life in prison.
