AN OBLIVIOUS driver has sailed into a park before heading into the shops, seemingly blissfully unaware that they have double parked.

The amusing parking attempt was captured on dashcam footage of another vehicle that was parked at the Luton shopping centre on Sunday.

With the carpark still containing a number of free spots, the driver has their pick of where to stop.

But as the video shows, which was taken just before 3pm on Sunday, the driver epically fails - instead taking up two spaces.

The driver and passenger take the time to carefully put up their windows after pulling into the embarrassing park.

The amusing footage then shows the driver and passenger hopping out of the car.

The pair even stand around the car for a period of time before setting off for the shops.

It beggars belief that the pair did not realise that the car was taking up way too much space

The video, which goes for about 40 seconds, comes after a British mathematician discovered a simple trick that could revolutionise car parking.

The parking solution found that all car park planners nneded to do was to place the bays at 45 degree angles.

But it's lucky that the motorists were not hit with fines - with one driver slapped with a £1.4 million bill for parking at an NCP car park while on his regular shopping trip.
