Cops have stepped up their search, which has already seen them speak to 1,000 people.

In a statement posted to a Facebook page set up to help find Scott his family said: “He is not in any trouble, we just want him home safe.

";He is vulnerable and although approachable would be scared of a group of large people approaching him.

“Our only hope right now, as no sightings have been confirmed, is to keep sharing his face for the public to see and share and hopefully somebody notices him.

“If you see this Scotty please come home.”

“As time progresses, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Scott’s wellbeing and safety.

"He is a young teenage boy and understandably his family and friends are very distressed at his disappearance."
