There has been no sign of him since and relatives are growing increasingly concerned.

Cops have stepped up their search, which has already seen them speak to 1,000 people.

In a statement posted to a Facebook page set up to help find Scott his family said: “He is not in any trouble, we just want him home safe.

"He is vulnerable and although approachable would be scared of a group of large people approaching him.

“Our only hope right now, as no sightings have been confirmed, is to keep sharing his face for the public to see and share and hopefully somebody notices him.

“If you see this Scotty please come home.”

Scott is described as white, 5ft 7 inches tall, of slim build with blue eyes and dark hair.

When last seen he was wearing a navy blue Addidas tracksuit, a white T-shirt and navy Addidas trainers.

Chief Inspector Donald Leitch said: “Despite our previous appeal and the encouraging response that we’ve received from the public on social media, Scott remains missing.

“As time progresses, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Scott’s wellbeing and safety.

"He is a young teenage boy and understandably his family and friends are very distressed at his disappearance."

Ch Insp Leitch continued: “We’ve been carrying out a significant number of enquiries in and around the local area of Clydebank and other areas including Glasgow City Centre, and whilst we’ve had some possible sightings reported to us they have so far have proved negative.

"I’d like to again appeal for help from the public – please continue to share our posts on social media and please contact us if you know where Scott is.”
