Incident not being treated as suspicious by police
A PERSON has died after being hit by a train at Oxford Circus Tube station, in central London.
The busy station, close to many tourist attractions and businesses, has reopened but the Bakerloo Line has been suspended between Elephant and Castle and Paddington.
Emergency services were called to a Bakerloo Line platform at 2.30pm following reports of a "person under a train".
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “British Transport Police were called to Oxford Circus London Underground station at 2.35pm following reports of a person struck by a train.

“Officers attended the scene alongside London Ambulance Service. Sadly the person was pronounced dead.
“Officers will now look to identify the person and inform their family. The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
Transport for London is warning of severe delays on the Bakerloo line.
