Cross-dressing ISIS monster caught trying to sneak away from Iraqi soldiers wearing women’s clothing

A CROSS-dressing ISIS brute was caught attempting to sneak out of recaptured Iraqi territory in women's clothing.

The dragged up Jihadi was snared with a USB stick stuffed with the names of extremists.

Abu Omar al-Assafi had been installed as an ISIS governor in the Sharqat region of Iraq after the terror group swept to power in 2014.

But security forces in the country caught him trying to sneak out of the town following it's liberation last week.

Soldiers said he was decked out in drag and mingling with civilians in an attempt to pass undetected.

When they nicked the cross-dressing extremist they found a memory stick loaded with names, nicknames and addresses of a number of high profile terrorists.

The USB also reportedly contained instructions for ISIS to torch residents houses and pin the blame on the Iraqi army, according to the .

Iraq announced last week that it had recaptured the northern town from the terror group and was planning to use it as a jumping off point for retaking Mosul.

Security forces took Sharqat on Thursday in an operation that began days earlier to open up supply lines to the battle ground.

The Iraqi forces were backed up with air support from the US according to a statement.

The town lies on the west bank of the Tigris river in Salaheddin province, 160 miles north west of Baghdad and around 50 miles south of Mosul.

Iraqi forces bypassed Sharqat to retake a key military base to its north as well as the neighbouring town of Qayyarah, but then turned their attention to the continued ISIS presence behind their front lines.

Last week Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said forces were on the cusp of retaking the Iraqi city.

He said: "The RAF is now operating at the highest tempo in a single theatre for over 25 years.

“There is no doubt Daesh is facing defeat. We are on the cusp of liberating the last major city in Iraq – Mosul.

“Having spoken to the commanders of the troops involved, their self-belief and determination is very clear.

“Though Mosul is a large and complex city, it was fall and will fall soon. I expect the operation for its encirclement to being in the next few weeks.”
