ARMED cops guarded Gareth Bale’s Spanish hotel room last night after his family in Wales had their homes and cars torched by a drugs gang.
The feud erupted last week after a case containing cash, cocaine and watches worth £1million vanished along with Epiphany Dring — the glamour model cousin of Bale’s fiancee Emma Rhys-Jones.
After Emma’s grandparents and aunt were targeted by arsonists in Wales, she is “scared stiff” that the couple’s £2million mansion in the Vale of Glamorgan is next on the hit list.
Welsh cops have spoken to the couple, who live in Spain, to “reassure them”, while Emma, 25, has been told that security around her and 27-year-old footballer Bale has been “reviewed”.
And yesterday three armed officers stood guard outside £86million Bale’s room at Real Madrid’s team hotel as they prepared to play in Gran Canaria.
A source said: “When the players arrived there was a lot of police as fans were desperate to meet them.
“But when we went to our rooms we were stunned when we got to the third floor.
“There were three armed police posted outside the rooms, obviously there to make sure there were no unwanted visitors.

“It was pretty extreme for such a luxury hotel, renowned for its old-fashioned charm.”
Police investigating the attacks in Flint, North Wales, and Cardiff are desperate to speak to Epiphany, 28, who stars on several online soft-porn sites.
She was living with her grandparents, which is where the case was being kept before it went missing.
But detectives believe she flew to Dubai earlier this month and is now in Malaysia.
Six of her family are in police safe houses and cops plan to fly out there to see what she knows about the terrifying violence.
A family source said: “It’s a drugs gang that’s missing money so they are not going to stop.
“People are wondering if they will target Gareth and Emma because they have money. No one knows where it will end.”
