A newly-released report from a medical examiner suggests Rogers was last seen alive by her boyfriend on April 27, according to FOX6.

Detectives gathered on Friday to review surveillance video from a business near where Rogers was found.

Multiple people are in custody as cops continue to investigate, police said on Thursday. A suspect has not been publicly identified.

Rogers' body was found in a wooded area near an industrial park,

“My daughter was in the backyard playing with a ball and came running into the house saying, 'Mom, mom there's something going on outside,” said Jennifer Polinski, who lives in the area.

Polinski added that she saw “a bunch of yellow caution tape and police cars. They blocked off the street over here. We weren't sure what was going on.”

Police made the announcement about multiple suspects being in custody in a Thursday statement.

"The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) is thankful for all the community members that volunteered to search for Emily Rogers along with MPD," the department wrote.

"Unfortunately, Emily Rogers was found deceased this afternoon in St Francis. This remains an open and ongoing investigation. Multiple suspects are in custody related to this investigation.

"The Milwaukee Police Department sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Emily Rogers that are impacted by this tragedy."

Authorities added that an autopsy was expected to be conducted for Rogers on Friday.

'DEVASTATED'

A vigil was held by Rogers’ family on Thursday night near where she was said to be last seen in April, on 25th and Becher streets.

Her father, Terry Rogers, described his daughter as someone who always saw good in the world.

“Course we were devastated the fact that the fears came true. But on the other hand, we were happy the fact that she was located, and we were able to have that closure. We're gonna be able to take her back home with us,” he told WISN.

On Tuesday, the MPD said that there was “reasonable suspicion” to believe that Rogers’ disappearance was not voluntary and that she could have been the victim of foul play.

The woman’s mother told local NBC affiliate that Rogers moved to Milwaukee nearly seven months ago to work things out with the father of her 15-month-old daughter.

The mother said that the infant and her father were found at her paternal grandmother’s home.

When reached by email on Thursday, police declined to provide more information about the suspects who were in custody.

A spokesperson said: "We do not identify a suspect until they have been criminally charged."

MYSTERIOUS DISAPPERANCE

Rogers had last been seen in the 2500 block of West Becher Street on April 26 at approximately 4.30pm.

Her friend told police that the woman's boyfriend was also last seen at the nearby Burnham Park, .

The area was shut down on Monday while police searched for the young woman.

Hours were spent searching but law enforcement couldn’t find any sign of her, aside from Rogers' phone that a friend said was found in some bushes.

“I think something bad happened to her,” said McKayla Mackey, a friend of Rogers who helped in the search.

“If anybody knows anything, just please say something. If you got cameras that caught something, say something. Anything, even something a little suspicious.

“It might be the piece that we need. We’re missing something, and someone here in Milwaukee had to see something."

Rogers' one-year-old child was also reported missing but was later found safe, police confirmed.

“I just want to find her and bring her home because her daughter needs her,” Mackey
