Miraculous moment dad takes first steps a year after falling 200ft from rocks

HILL walker Imran Choudhury takes his first steps since falling 200ft from rocks.

The dad-of-three, 37, from Gtr Manchester plunged just after the picture was taken on the Trinnacle, in the Peak District in February 2021.

He had to have his right leg reattached and says its “amazing” to walk again without crutches.

He said: “It's just great because that was what I have been working for over the last 14 months.

“I've been working really hard, extremely hard, and it was amazing.

“They didn't think I was going to make it because I was so critical.

“I fell so far down, then I rolled down so much, and was stuck in the middle of the valley.

“They all thought that I was going to die until I arrived at the hospital, and that was the moment they thought I might actually survive."

Imran had been out walking in the Peak District in preparation for a fundraising trek to Kilimanjaro when he fell.
