Brit bride flies to US to marry death row murderer after telling her parents she was travelling to Disneyland
A BRITISH bride flew to the US to marry a death row inmate.
Rebecca Short, 26, told family she was on holiday — but had secretly become pen pals with double killer Manuel Ovante Jr, 35.
The trainee dental nurse posted pics from Disney World, Florida, and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Then she shocked relatives by sharing wedding snaps from Eyman jail, Florence, Arizona.
One friend told The Sun: “She was always obsessed with watching Netflix documentaries about serial killers in America, but no one thought she’d run off and marry one.”
Mexican-American Ovante shot two men dead after he and pals went to a house looking for drugs in 2008.
He was sentenced in 2010 and allowed to leave his cell for the April 14 wedding.
Rebecca brought a tiered black wedding cake with red rose icing and the message: “Till death do us part!”

She posed with her new husband — in prison-issue orange jumpsuit — and his family.
A neighbour of Rebecca in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, said: “She did tell me about it, but I don’t really want to talk about it, it’s not my family.”
Rebecca wrote to Ovante after finding his pen pal profile online.
The Sun also found him on website prisonlifeandbeyond.com where he said he was single.
He wrote: “I’m easy to get along with and tend to be a goofball.
“Very loyal to people I care about. Nobody is perfect, so I hope not to be judged by past mistakes.
“I love to read and listen to music. I have a daughter named Bonnie.
“Not sure what I’m looking for in a pen pal so, I guess you’ll have to surprise me.”
