Who is David Bonola?

DAVID Bonola is a suspect in the death of a mother stabbed nearly 60 times on April 16, 2022.

Orsolya Gaal, the 51-year-old from Queens, was found stuffed in a duffel bag in the early morning on Saturday.

Who is David Bonola?

David Bonola, 44, was charged with murder, criminal tampering, and criminal possession of a weapon on April 21, 2022, the NYPD told The Sun.

Law enforcement officials told The U.S. Sun, he worked as a handyman for Gaal and lived near her in the Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens.

Bonola has no prior criminal history.

Why was David Bonola arrested?

Bonola was arrested for allegedly murdering Gaal in the basement of her $2million home in Queens, .

He was taken into custody on April 20, 2022, and on November 2, 2022, he pled guilty to stabbing Gaal.

Gaal's killer was seen on video wheeling her body through the neighborhood in a black hockey bag at 4.30am.

He discarded the bag in the middle of a sidewalk less than a mile from her home.

The nature of Gaal's injuries, and the fact there was no sign of forced entry inside her home, have led police to believe Gaal was murdered by someone she knew.

NYPD sources told The U.S. Sun, the handyman confessed to the murder during an interrogation.

He allegedly told officers he'd been having an affair with Gaal and that the pair had an argument before he brutally stabbed her nearly 60 times.

Gaal suffered additional injuries to her neck, torso, and left arm.

Police also discovered knife wounds on her hands and inside her fingers.

Who was Orsolya Gaal?

Gaal was a married mother of two, originally from Hungary.

She shared two sons with her husband, Howard Klein.

Klein was reportedly in Portland with their 17-year-old son on a college visit at the time of his wife's murder.

After Orsolya was killed, her husband says he received threatening texts from an unknown number.

The sender allegedly accused Gaal of sending him to jail years ago and allegedly threatened to kill the entire family if the police were called: "your whole family is next."

Law enforcement sources told  that Gaal told her youngest son, Leo, 13, she was going out to watch a show at Lincoln Center on Friday evening.

However, the sources also told Pix11 that Gaal met up with another man instead of attending the aforementioned show.

She was then spotted drinking alone at a bar in Queens and leaving around 12.30am.

After returning home, she was repeatedly stabbed in the neck, torso, and arm, suffering a total of 58 stab wounds.
