Murder probe after lad, 18, fatally injured in attack at internet cafe in Liverpool city centre
POLICE are probing the murder of an 18-year-old lad fatally injured in an internet café attack in Liverpool city centre tonight.
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene on London Road, Liverpool, shortly before 6pm.
Merseyside Police said they were called to a report that an 18-year-old boy had been assaulted.
Paramedics rushed the teen to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detective Chief Inspector Terry Davies said the area would have been busy at the time and has urged anyone with information to come forward.
He added: "We are in the very early stages of the investigation as we seek to establish what has taken place and who was involved.

"At the time of the incident, London Road would have been busy with people so I would ask anyone who was in the vicinity this evening at around 5.30pm onwards that saw or heard anything suspicious, or may have captured anything significant on their mobile phone, dashcam and CCTV, to contact us as a matter of urgency."
