Boy, 8, ‘pinned to the ground and brutally attacked by a ten-strong gang of older boys’
Youngster left with bruises, cuts and grazes after being targeted in park
A EIGHT-year-old boy was left shaken and bruised after a gang of 10 youths pinned him to the ground and brutally attacked him.
Noah Date was playing in the park with his sister Jas when a group of older boys cornered him before repeatedly punching and kicking him.
The youngster was left with grazes to his knees and chest, as well as bruising to his ribs and cheeks.
He also suffered cuts and bruises to his ankles and legs.
Noah's mum Anni said: "He was pinned to the floor and repeatedly punched, he was also dragged along the astro turf pitch and repeatedly had a football thrown and kicked at his head and face."
Anni continued: "As soon as he could get out, his sister Jas brought him straight back.
"He hasn't been himself since the attack. Noah is normally a typical boy - loud and running around, but he's been quieter, and he's been wary about going outside.
"He doesn't want to go outside without me."
The boys involved are believed to have been aged between 10 and 15.
The attack, which happened at around 2.45pm on Saturday, in a park in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, has been reported to police.
Meanwhile, a Facebook post by Anni about it has been shared more than 1,700 times.
Anni added: "No-one can grasp what has happened to him, and we can't pinpoint what they did.
"Noah's school have also seen what happened, and they have been in touch to ask if there is anything they can do to help."
Cambridgeshire Police confirmed the incident is being investigated.
Anyone with any information should contact the force on 101.
