‘SLEEP WELL, HILLARY!’

Trump mocks Clinton’s illness as he claims she is taking a day off to rest and prepare for first TV debate

The Republican firebrand has continually questioned the Democratic nominee’s ‘stamina’ after her pneumonia diagnosis earlier this month

PRESIDENTIAL candidate Donald Trump has mocked his ailing rival Hillary Clinton after she took a day off from the campaign trail, tweeting “Sleep well Hillary.”

Following her pneumonia diagnosis, the Democratic nominee, 68, has staggered her schedule ahead of her first televised debate with Trump, 70, next Monday.

The former Secretary of State attended numerous public events on Monday but chose to clear her schedule on Tuesday holding one conference call and speaking to the Steve Harvey Radio show via telephone.

She did have a fundraiser planned for Tuesday in North Carolina which was inexplicably scrapped by her team.

Several reports have claimed Clinton is taking the time off to prepare for her debate with Trump after her rival excelled at the events during the Republican primaries.

Since her pneumonia diagnosis, the determined Chicago-born politician visited NC last week and attended two gala events in Washington.

And on Monday she had a packed schedule speaking to students at Temple University, attending another fundraiser and holding three meetings with world leaders.

Speaking with the Steve Harvey radio show, Clinton said she was preparing to deal with Trump’s ‘bullying’ tactics at the upcoming debate.

She said: “I am going to do my very best to communicate as clearly and fearlessly as I can in the face of the insults and the attacks and the bullying and the bigotry that we have seen coming from my opponent.”
