Moment hapless thief tries to hold up a petrol station using a can of Red Bull

A BUNGLING robber has been caught on camera trying to steal from a petrol station "armed" with a can of RED BULL.

The baseball cap-wearing thug jumps over the counter before smacking the can over the terrified shop worker's head.

The two men struggle for a while before the failed robber attempts to go and raid the till

After a brief struggle with the store worker the robber tries to raid the cash register to snatch some money but is unable to open it.

The blonde-haired failed thief, who looks to be in his late teens, then jumps back over the counter and runs out the store.

Officers have asked for the public's support in finding the suspect who they say is white, of slim build, is in his late teens, and has blonde hair.

He was wearing a black "Raiders" cap and was carrying a black bag.

There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made.
