A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has died after being run over by an "unattended car".
Police said the boy suffered severe injuries and died after being rushed to hospital in Macclesfield.
The incident happened on Fowey Close in Macclesfield shortly before 9 last night.
Nobody else was involved in the incident, cops have confirmed.
A police spokesman said: "At 8.49pm, on Tuesday 20 September, emergency services were called to an address in Fowey Close, Macclesfield following the report of an RTC.
"The incident involved an unattended car and a 13-year-old boy from Macclesfield. No one else was involved in the incident.
"Paramedics attended the scene but the boy had sustained injuries which later proved to be fatal.
"Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of the accident.
"The boy’s next of kin have been informed."

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire Service said: "We were called at 8.55pm and sent two fire engines from Macclesfield. Crews worked with paramedics to extricate the casualty and remained on the scene to help with the investigation."
Local resident Daniel Lacey, 87, said: "It’s a horrible thing. I’m shocked to hear that, in a quiet place like this. I saw the ambulance on the corner of St Austell (Avenue) out of my window but didn’t know what had happened. You don’t get many kids round here."
