Pregnant woman horrified to find ‘clump of human HAIR’ after biting into Tesco breaded mushroom – but store has another explanation

A MUM-TO-BE was horrified after finding what she believes is a clump of human HAIR in a breaded mushroom from Tesco.
Courtney Pedrick, 18, who is due to give birth in November, would regularly feast on the frozen snack after craving them throughout her pregnancy.
But she was horrified to make the disgusting discovery, which happened when she bit into one and found a stray lock embedded in the breadcrumbs.
It was the second £2 packet she'd purchased in a week - and she always chooses to eat the mushroom first, followed by the batter casing.
She had already made her way through about six of the mushrooms before biting into the contaminated food.
Courtney said: "The second I saw it I looked at my partner in shock because I nearly fed that to my unborn child.
"I saw these long dark brown hairs clogged inside of the breaded mushroom.
"I gagged so much that I couldn't eat the rest of my food that night and I'm still put off eating now.
"It's not good at all. I don't expect to find chunks of hair in my food and health and safety needs to be taken more seriously in the company that made the product."

Courtney no longer has the receipt but claims she bought the packet of frozen mushrooms from a Tesco Extra store in Basildon, Essex, last week.
She also said after her bad experience, she has now been put off ever biting into another breaded mushroom again.
Courtney, from Basildon, added: "It has 100 per cent put me off ever eating them again.
"My unborn son will have to choose something else to crave because I'm not going anywhere near them."
The teenager, who had been working as an administrator at a swimming pool, has contacted Tesco.
She has been told to go back to the store with the mushroom in question and the packaging.
A spokesman for Tesco stated the "clump of human hair" was instead a natural fibre from the mushroom.
He said: "There's nothing more important to us than the quality of our products so we were concerned to hear about this complaint.
