My nine-year-old daughter was shot dead after a ‘stupid’ Facebook argument about parenting styles
A MOTHER has claimed her nine-year-old daughter was shot dead after a "stupid" Facebook argument over parenting styles.
Sequoya Bacon-Jones was shot while playing outside of an apartment complex in New Jersey on March 25.
The shooting escalated from an argument two women were having over a Facebook post about parenting styles, alleges Bacon-Jones' mother.
She said the women were arguing in the courtyard area of an apartment complex where several children were playing.
Eventually, one of the women's brothers, 19-year-old Isiah Roberts, and another man on the scene became involved in the altercation, police say.
As it escalated, Roberts allegedly filed several shots in the courtyard.

Bacon-Jones was struck in her upper-body by one of the shots as she and the other children on the scene tried running away.
After realizing what happened, Roberts fled the scene while residents called 911 and reported Roberts and his car's make and model, according to officials.
Bacon-Jones was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and originally, was stable following an emergency surgery.
Just before midnight on March 25 Bacon-Jones died.
“She came into this world fighting, she left this world fighting, but she loved to live, she loved to make people laugh, she loved to make them smile," Sacha Bacon-Jones, Bacon-Jones' mother told .
“She loved school, she loved being active, she loved going outside and playing with her friends, she loved skating and singing and making TikToks, and now all I have are memories,” she added.
Roberts was on the run for several days before his vehicle was spotted in Hamilton, New Jersey.
He jumped out of his car and sent the police on a lengthy foot chase until they caught up with him in a wooded area on Route 129.
He was planning to jump in a river and swim to Pennsylvania.
