BLOOD MONEY

Inside obscene wealth of Putin’s ‘attack dog’ Chechen warlord with Rolls Royce, Dubai villa & selfies with Liz Hurley

VLADIMIR Putin's so-called "attack dog" Ramzan Kadyrov isn't just a brutal warlord - he is also a millionaire influencer who loves to flaunt his cash and hang out with celebrities.

Chechen brute Kadyrov claims he is leading his forces alongside the Russian army in Ukraine and is playing a key role in the bloody siege of Mariupol.

Posing with his troops in combat fatigues as he visits his soldiers in field hospitals, Kadyrov wants to be both the hard man and the social media sensation.

Vicious warlord Kadyrov once operated an Instagram account where he liked to flaunt his fortune before he was banned - but he keeps his "fans" updated via Russian social media and on Telegram.

The ruthless Prada-sporting tyrant - with a penchant for torture, murder, kidnapping and anti-gay purges - has an estimated fortune of up to £150million.

Experts have said told The Sun Online obscene wealth is nothing but blood money as he kept in his lifestyle with bungs from Vladimir Putin in return for keeping an iron grip on Chechnya.

Kadyrov has been previously pictured cuddling up with the mad tyrant - and has been described by some as the "son Putin never had".

He is believed to own an villa on the exclusive man-made palm tree shaped island Palm Jumeriah in Dubai.

The warlord also has an expensive car collection, including a Rolls Royce and Lamborghini - along with a £70million private plane, an Airbus A319.

He even has a private zoo - including tigers - near one of his mansions, and often wears a pair of Prada boots worth £1,000.

And he also makes sure he is pictured with celebrities, including Hollywood star Liz Hurley, footballers Ronaldinho and Mo Salah, and boxers Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather.

Kadyrov also uses his personal slush fund to keep his three wives happy - along with their 12 children.

His second wife, beauty queen Fatima Khazuyeva, is believed to have three Moscow apartments worth up to £3million registered her name.

"He is an extremely unpleasant individual in the worst traditions of unconstrained sadism given unlimited power," Keir Giles, an expert on Russia at the Chatham House think tank, told The Sun Online.

He added: "He is a feudal ruler - he gets vast amounts of money and is told 'we don't care what you do with it, as long as you keep this place under control'."

And while it is "very expensive" for Putin to keep Kadyrov wealthy, it is believed to be less expensive than having to fight wars in Chechnya to keep it in line, said Mr Giles.

The Kremlin is believed to fork out £550million every year to support Chechnya - much of which is likely skimmed off the top by Kadyrov whose personal power is intertwined with the state.

Kadyrov's private plane was recently reported to have been jetting frequently between Chechnya, Dubai and the Maldives.

And his Dubai villa was revealed by , pieced together using social media images posted by his cronies and other visitors.

The property connects to a five-star hotel on the exclusive manmade island - which is also called homes by the Beckhams.

Pictures of Kadyrov having meetings in the believed to be inside property show a lavish white and gold interior with plenty of photos of him on the shelves.

Other images show a Rolls Royce parked outside, and there is believed to be a smaller villa attached for his security forces.

The warlord is also believed to have palaces built for himself and his wives near Grozny.

And he has a love of gold - owning golden guns, including a hand gun and an assault rifle.

Pictures over the last few days show Kadyrov in his office also showed a pot of golden stationary on his desk, including golden scissors and golden pens.

Mr Giles said the brutal ruler's flaunting of his insane wealth comes from his "self absorption in his bubble" - as he's "never lived a normal life, and never been a situation where he's not been able to have what he wanted".

And while Kadyrov may often be an "embarrassment" for Putin - he is necessary as he keeps Chechnya under his lawless control with an iron fist terrorising his subjects through "kidnap, rape and murder as standard practice".

Munira Mustaffa, executive director of security researchers the Chasseur Group, told The Sun Online: "Kadyrov reportedly became very wealthy due to his close relationship with Putin and to the Kremlin."

Putin also transferred ownership of Chechenneftekhimprom oil assets to Chechnya, and thus Kadyrov, which also likely gives him a large source of income.

She added: "Kadyrov tells his people of Chechnya that his wealth came as God’s blessing.

"It is unlikely that they are allowed to vocally question or criticise him."

Ms Mustaffa described Kadyrov as a "dangerous warlord" who has a "symbiotic relationship" with Putin - with two trusting and tolerating each other to meet their own ends.

She said: "Kadyrov's actions are motivated by his vanity and the desire to project power, influence, and significance."

And meanwhile, Mr Giles said that Kadyrov is believed to be one of the few people who knew about the invasion of Ukraine in advance.

Chechnyan forces have played a role - but its believed they have been ineffective, seemingly caring more about their image and posting videos on TikTok.

Mr Giles said that the Chechens reputation makes them an effective intimidation force, but they do not appear to be good are actually fighting battles rather than just beating up civilians.

The early days of the war saw a column of Chechen forces heading for Kyiv totally wiped out by the Ukrainians.

And now Kadyrov's forces are in Mariupol attempting to assist the Russian army in taking control of the city which has been bravely holding out despite horrific casualties during the siege.
