SEVEN AND HELL

iPhone 7 owners report hearing infuriating hissing noise coming from the £920 device

It's thought handset's high-powered chip could be source of the sound, though Apple are yet to comment

AN INFURIATING hissing noise is afflicting Apple’s latest iPhone, reports claim.

Disgruntled owners of the device have shared their dissatisfaction with the issue online.

It’s speculated that the handset’s high-powered processor is responsible for the sound.

The problem - referred to as coil noise or coil whine - is familiar to users of high-powered computers.

It crops up when the chip is under heavy load and there is little that can be done to fix it.

It is unclear how widespread the issue currently is.

Tech giant Apple has so far refused to comment on reports.

Blogger Stephen Hackett filmed his handset hissing.

After complaining to Apple he was told he could go to an Apple Store to get the phone replaced.

However - due to high demand and low stock - you could be in for a long wait.

The water-resistant gadget boasts several new features including an enhanced camera and the removal of the typical headphone jack.

But many will have to wait longer before experiencing the swish new smartphone, which can cost up to £920 for the top of the range model.

The issue comes as Apple has made a boob of its new iOS 10 messaging system — by allowing young users to send images of PORN.

The much lauded update launched last week giving users the option of turning their written text messages into moving images called GIFs.

Software scans the message and gives a suggested GIF that could be sent along with it.

But shocked and iPad users have discovered that typing phrases like “hard” or “oh my God” in their texts can conjure up explicit porn images.
