And now the Ministry of Defence has admitted involvement in the strike that killed 60 regime troops
A SICKENING video shows an ISIS killer proudly standing on the corpse of a Syrian soldier who was killed in this weekend's US-led Coalition air strike.
The horrific footage emerges as the Ministry of Defence admits that an RAF Reaper drone was involved with Saturday's bombing, which killed 60 regime troops.
The murderous terror group also claims in Deir al-Zour allowed it to take over a strategic mountain overlooking the city.
A militant is seen gloating over the corpses of a Syrian Army soldier allegedly killed by the US Air Force-led strike and ISIS claim it will help them clear the area of troops loyal to tyrant Bashar al-Assad, according to pro-regime Syrian news website .
A pile of Syrian troops' ID cards and a burnt-out truck are also seen in the video.
At first the US-led coalition admitted its planes carried out an air raid in eastern Syria that reportedly killed at least 62 home troops fighting ISIS.
Now an MoD spokesperson had said the RAF was involved.
They said: "We can confirm that the UK participated in the recent coalition air strike in Syria, south of Dayr az Zawr [Deir el-Zor] on Saturday, and we are fully cooperating with the coalition investigation."
"The UK would not intentionally target Syrian military units. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage."
American military leaders say their planes halted the attacks in Deir al-Zour as soon as they were told of the Syrian presence.
The US Central Command statement said the coalition believed it was attacking ISIS positions and the raids.
It added they were "halted immediately when coalition officials were informed by Russian officials that it was possible the personnel and vehicles targeted were part of the Syrian military".
It said the "Combined Air Operations Centre had earlier informed Russian counterparts of the upcoming strike".
It added: "Syria is a complex situation with various military forces and militias in close proximity, but coalition forces would not intentionally strike a known Syrian military unit.
"The coalition will review this strike and the circumstances surrounding it to see if any lessons can be learned."
