A TOURIST has been crushed to death by an elephant while trying to take a photo.
The Italian holidaymaker was killed while attempting to take a picture of the mammal in Kenya's Tsavo National Park on Sunday.
The 66-year-old had been having breakfast with his wife in their tent before he left with his camera.
But as he approached a watering hole in the Kualu ranch, he provoked the pachyderm, which then attacked him.
Police say the man suffered serious injuries to his left leg and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The 66-year-old was taken to Malindi hospital to be treated for his injuries but sadly died
