Who is Senator Mike Lee?
Born June 4, 1971, Lee, 50, is known as an American lawyer and politician.
In 2010, he was famously elected to serve as the United States Senator from Utah, a position that is up for re-election in 2022.
Prior to becoming Senator, Lee served as an attorney, specializing in appellate and Supreme Court litigation for the law firm, Sidley & Austin.

He also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Salt Lake City, arguing cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, according to his .
In 1997, Lee graduated with a law degree from Brigham Young University, where he also obtained his bachelor's in Political Science.
Is Mike Lee married?
Standing beside Lee throughout the course of his career has been his wife, Sharon Lee, whom he married in 1993.
Throughout the course of their marriage, the couple has also welcomed three children, including Eliza Rose, John David, and James Rex.
James is reportedly named after his grandfather, Rex E. Lee, who was known as an American lawyer and academic who famously served as U.S. Solicitor General from 1981 to 1985.
Prior to his death in 1996, Lee's father argued 59 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

What did Mike Lee tell Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson?
In March 2022, Lee attended a Senate hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who was nominated by President Joe Biden for the Supreme Court.
At the meeting, Lee asked Jackson several questions but ultimately said that her role in the court would be unique if confirmed because she would be the only Supreme Court justice to have served as a federal district court judge and a federal appellate court judge.
“You will have a different perspective than that of most who have served on the court in the modern era,” Lee told Jackson, via .
The media outlet notes that Jackson will also be the first justice to have worked as a federal public defender.
Jackson is expected to replace Justice Stephen Breyer, who announced his retirement in early 2022.
