Prince William secretly scoffs greasy fry-ups behind Kate Middleton’s back
Despite the Duchess serving up healthly grub at home, Wills can't resist tucking into to a full English while doing his day job
SNEAKY Prince William is scoffing greasy fry-ups behind the back of his health-conscious wife Kate.
At home, Kate serves the 34-year-old healthy nosh to keep him trim — but he can’t resist a full English at the work canteen.
He’s been tucking into the £5 breakfast in the staff cafe while working as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot.
And one regular even teased him about eating so many that he’d get fat.
The prince often joins the queue in the Cambridge Airport canteen for a plate of bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans.
A regular said: “William seems to be a lot slimmer and trimmer these days thanks to plenty of exercise and Kate feeding him healthy meals at home.
“But it’s a different story when he is at work.
“The canteen does excellent fry-ups and he can’t resist them.”
An airport worker said: “Everyone queues together and there are no special favours even if you are a prince.
“I guess he likes the fried breakfasts because it’s a change from the healthy stuff he gets served by his wife.”
Wills pops into the Gipsy Moth cafe at the airport after starting day shifts at 7am.
The worker said staff had been told not to approach or speak to him unless he speaks to them first.
But he added: “Someone broke the rule when they saw him getting a traditional full English breakfast.
“They told him, ‘You shouldn’t be eating too many of those. You’ll get fat’.
“Quick as a flash, Wills said, ‘It looks like you’ve had a few too many yourself’.
“Everyone saw the funny side.”
William admitted his love for fry-ups with brown sauce in a 2009 interview.
And he once joked 34-year-old Kate’s cooking was “the reason I’m so skinny”.
