Donald Trump calls for Hillary Clinton’s Secret Service agents to ditch their weapons
The Republican candidate was talking about gun control at a rally in Miami, Florida
DONALD Trump has called for rival Hillary Clinton’s bodyguards to be disarmed to “see what happens to her”.
The Republican presidential candidate made the controversial remarks while talking about his opponent’s position on gun control.
Speaking at a rally in Miami on Friday night, Trump said: “I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons.
“I think they should disarm. Immediately. What do you think. Yes? Take their guns away.
“She doesn’t want guns. Take them. Let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away, OK. It will be very dangerous.”
The billionaire’s comments come less than five weeks after he appeared to call for his supporters to use their Second Amendment rights to stop the Democratic candidate.
Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook slammed Trump’s latest remark.
He said: “This kind of talk should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate.
"Whether this is done to provoke protesters at a rally or casually or even as a joke, it is an unacceptable quality in anyone seeking the job of commander in chief.
"He is unfit to be President and it is time Republican leaders stand up to denounce this disturbing behaviour in their nominee."
At a rally in North Carolina last month, the firebrand politician made similar remarks which were labelled an “assassination threat”.
While talking about Clinton’s intention to tighten gun control, he said: “Hillary wants to essentially abolish the Second Amendment. If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks.
"Although the Second Amendment people maybe there is, I don't know.
"But I'll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”
However, the Trump campaign said the brash Republican candidate was referring to the voting power of the gun supporters.
