Drug dealer caged after giving customers RECEIPTS and letting them pay for coke on credit cards

Dealer was snared thanks to his signed receipts from the payment terminal he’d invested in

A DRUG dealer who used a chip-and-pin device to take payments was caught by receipts he gave to customers, a court heard.

Mark Slender, who also goes by the name Mark Wilson, Guppy and Gup, was snared thanks to receipts from the payment terminal he’d invested in.

He would put the message ‘Cheers, Gup’ on the receipts he issued to ‘clients’.

The card reader, which cops found plugged into his vehicle charging, was revealed to have logged almost £12,000 worth of cocaine sales during a six-month period between March 21 and August 15, Gloucester Crown Court heard.

Police who raided his home in Bishops Cleeve, Gloucs, last month seized £5,800 of drugs, including 93 per cent pure cocaine.

PC Thom Finnikin of Tewkesbury Police said: "He attempted to bring drug dealing into the 21st century by using a chip and pin machine to take payment for cocaine and subsequently showed his arrogance by putting a tag line at the top of each receipt supplied to his drug buyers.

Cops seized designer clothing and gold sovereigns worth more than £10,000, which they believe were paid for using profits from drug dealing.

A large amount of cash and digital scales, contaminated with cocaine and cannabis, were also confiscated during the raid at Slender’s home.

Slender — who had “extensive” previous drug convictions — was given a  seven-year jail term after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply.
