Friday Night Football presenter Rachel Riley’s father reveals she played ‘like Roy Keane’ as a youngster

FRIDAY Night Football's new addition Rachel Riley was a Roy Keane-esque midfield "destroyer" as a youngster, her father has revealed.
The former Countdown beauty was named part of Sky Sport's Friday night presenting lineup in August - but fans know she has a long held love of the game.
Speaking ahead of her appearance tonight for the the Liverpool - Chelsea match, her father Chris revealed she played plenty of footy as a youngster.
He told : "She still loves playing football – she played a lot as a youngster.
"As a central midfielder she was more of a Roy Keane than Paul Scholes – a bit of a destroyer.

"I am a football fan so she had no choice. A lot of fans ask why she supports Manchester United when she is from Southend – but the reason is I brainwashed her."
Chris went on to joke that Riley's new role was a dream job for her - and him.
Riley, 30, has been reunited with former Countdown co-host Jeff Stelling for her new punditry role.
She has also joined Premier League legends Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and Gary Neville in the Sky Sports match day box.
