Pampered Crufts pooch gets own BODYGUARD after owner makes her £500k diamond collar

A DOG lover has created a diamond-encrusted collar worth more than £500,000 for her pooch.

Jeweller Nathalie Knauf, 37, crafted the bespoke neckpiece herself from 91 flawless 15-carat diamonds.

Her four-year-old English Pomeranian Polly wears it for special occasions — including at annual dog show Crufts this week.

Nathalie said: “I wanted to create something that people had never seen before, something that models would want to wear, and would look at their dog and think ‘isn’t that beautiful’.

"We love our dogs so much so why wouldn’t we treat them?

“It is a lot of money but I think they are always worth it, no?

"Dogs deserve to look as beautiful as their owners.

"That’s exactly why I wanted to show the world these wonderful stones.”

Nathalie, of Soho in central London, added: “I’m not worried about anyone trying to steal it because we’ve got around the clock security.

“We’ve got a big bodyguard and a team who come with us wherever we go.

"She’s very well protected.
