THIS is the moment an angel-like figure was captured above the World Trade Center in New York
Rich McCormack of Jersey City, US, was one of many photographers at the site who took several pics of the Tribute in Light memorial lights at the 9/11 site last week.
But unlike other photographers, McCormack captured more than just beams of lights in the night sky.
His snap which he posted on his Facebook page, has been interpreted by many users as an "angel".
The photographer, who can't even explain the image, said he thought it looked like "a vision of the Lord (Jesus) with his arms crossed".
He told : "I did a double-take not knowing really what it was, but as I zoomed in it almost looked liked a vision of the Lord with his arms crossed. I got very emotional, and I got tears in my eyes."
His picture, who he claims hasn't been edited in any way, was quickly shared on social media with many users believing it to be spiritual.
Yvette Cid, whose children were victims of the 9/11 attacks commented: “Rich I know you don’t photo shop that’s an awesome pic wow I lost my two boys and I believe this is a sign to all that have lost a love one.”

Other people also commented saying they witnessed the "angel" during the night.
One user wrote: “Yup. It’s an angel. Noticed it last night driving on the parkway."
"Does look like someone is watching over us", another added.

"This has left me with so much faith - God is watching over us always.
McCormack said the picture was taken from the waterfront in Hoboken during a festival late last week - two days before the country held countless services and events in memory of the Sept 11, 2001 terror attacks.
