Owners woke yesterday to find their tyres completely flat — and a leaflet on its windscreen reading: “Attention. Your gas guzzler kills.”

Range Rovers, 4x4s and Porsches were hit in London’s poshest districts including Belgravia, Notting Hill and Hampstead Heath.

The group, who call themselves the Tyre Extinguishers, also targeted electric and hybrid cars saying they still caus pollution. Marion Walker, from the group, branded the SUVs “massive unnecessary vehicles”.

She said: “They cause air pollution and are dangerous for other road users. Everyone hates them, apart from the people who drive them. Politely asking for climate action, clean air and safer streets has failed — it’s now time for action.”

It comes just months after Insulate Britain activists caused chaos by running in front of traffic and gluing their hands to motorways.
