Teen arrested after 18-year-old girl ‘was raped in the toilets of a nightclub which was hosting a Pokémon party’

A TEENAGER has been arrested after an 18-year-old girl claimed she was raped in the toilets of a nightclub during a Pokemon Go hunt party.

The girl was celebrating her A-level results on the night of the alleged attack.

The Pokemon Hunt Party held at Moo Moo club in Kent was attended by sixth-form pupils and  billed as a chance to "capture some of the 600 Pokemon figures hidden around the venue, some of them with special prizes."

Teenagers from the local grammar schools and comprehensives posed for selfies with a giant Pikachu who was at the packed event in Tunbridge Wells.

The alleged sex attack is said to have taken place in the toilets, between 1.30am and 2.30am on August 19.

A 19-year-old from Tunbridge Wells has been arrested and  released on bail until January next year.

Police seized CCTV footage of the three-floor club, which were billed as a PokéGym, a Pokémon Centre, and the Leaf Forest.
