The alleged attack occurred at a Pokemon-themed party held at a nightclub in Tunbridge Wells

A man has been arrested after a teenage girl claimed she was raped in a nightclub during a Pokémon-themed A-Level results party.

The alleged attack took place in the toilets of Moo Moo in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in the early hours of August 19.

On the club's Facebook page, the organisers said 600 Pokémon had been hidden in the venue for the event.

The high-profile event was publicised around town by a giant Pikachu.

As part of the promotion each of the three floors of the club became three different 'Indigo League' locations - a PokéGym, a Pokémon Centre, and the Leaf Forest.

Promotional material for the event said: "You're invited to adventure with us as we go Pokémon mental to celebrate everyone's A-level results on August 18 when our three floors become three different Indigo League Locations."

Other novelties included Pokémon-themed "super potion" and "hyper potion" cocktails.

A 19-year-old suspect was arrested earlier this month and has been bailed until January.
