Release Jon Venables and he WILL kill again, warns James Bulger’s dad
MURDERED tot James Bulger’s dad today warns parole bosses: “Release Jon Venables and he will kill again.”
Ralph Bulger, 55, spoke out after The Sun last week revealed his son’s killer was lining up yet another bid for freedom.
Prison and probation officials are already preparing a secret dossier on Venables, who killed James 29 years ago.
And it is likely to be referred to the Parole Board in April — paving the way for a full hearing later this year.
Venables, now 39, has already blown three gilt-edged chances at rehabilitation after first being released from jail in 2001.
He was recalled in 2010 and 2017.
And as his latest freedom bid gets under way, Ralph spoke out in an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday.
He raged: “Venables isn’t a ten-year-old kid anymore.

“He’s a near-40-year-old, fully-fledged monster who is never going to change.
“He’s a convicted paedophile murderer with an insatiable lust for children. He simply can’t stop himself.
“I can only sleep at night when I know he is behind bars away from society.
“If this monster is released, he will abuse and kill again.”
Venables and pal Robert Thompson were ten when they tortured and murdered two-year-old James in Merseyside in 1993.
They were released in 2001 with costly secret identities.
The pair enjoy lifelong anonymity, protected by one of the strictest gagging orders imposed on the media.
But while Thompson is thought to have avoided reoffending, Venables was first recalled to jail in 2010 for possession of child abuse images.

After being released, he was recalled again in 2017 when police found a hoard of nearly 1,200 child abuse pictures stashed on his devices.
He was last denied parole in 2020 as he still had “an attraction to sexual violence”.
But officials praised him for learning “better ways of thinking” and his positive progress
Ralph, who split from James’s mum Denise two years after the murder, believes nothing has changed.
He added: “Two years ago, the Parole Board admitted it was too dangerous to free him, with his lust for sexual violence being one area of concern.
“Do they really think two years on he’s reformed? He can never be safe around kids.”
Ralph and his lawyers are locked in a battle with the Ministry of Justice to obtain more records about their handling of Venables

And he believes there is something to hide.
He insisted: “We know something truly terrible has happened for the parole board to deny him freedom.”
