New £5 note featuring Winston Churchill comes out today – here’s how to get one of the new polymer fivers
YOU'VE probably heard about the new fiver that has at it all - it's waterproof, tear-proof, heatproof and totally recyclable. Oh, and dirt resistant, too.
But even though it was released on September 9 - and there are 440million of them in circulation - many of us have yet to see the new five pound note.
In fact, most people might have to wait up to a week to see one - as they're only available from a handful of banks and cash points in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Hull and Cardiff.

The Bank of England, in London, has an exchange desk where you can swap your paper notes for the new, polymer variety.
The new notes, which feature Sir Winston Churchill, are designed to last about five years longer than paper ones.
You can swap your fivers at this address:
Bank of England, Threadneedle Street, London, EC2R 8AH
Printed on them are the words: “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat,” from the World War Two PM’s maiden speech.
They also have an anti-counterfeit window featuring the Queen.
But if you don't find one in your purse right away, don't worry - old fivers are still legal tender until May 5, 2017.
