West Midlands Police today stepped up the murder probe into the horror execution outside the man's Birmingham home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

And friends of Muhammed, also known as Sohail, have posted a £20,000 reward for information that helps snare his killers.

Muhammed’s family said in statement: “As a family, we feel great sadness and despair at the loss of our beloved Sohail.

“We ask anyone who has any information about the taking of Sohail’s life to contact the police."

Tributes online described him as “humble”, adding he “always had a smile on his face”.

Rosie Ali wrote on Facebook: “Everyone that knew him knew how hard working he was. Always smiling and so humble.”

And Inram Ahmed wrote: “We are offering a £20,000 reward for name and details of the murder of Muhammed Soleil outside his house on Wright Road.”

Emergency services were called to Wright Street, in the Saltley area of the city, shortly after 12.30am on Saturday.

They found the 25-year-old in the back of a car and were unable to save him.

A post-mortem examination carried out yesterday found that he died from a gunshot wound.

Officers are speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage from around the area.

Detective Inspector Adam Jobson said: "This is a shocking incident and our thoughts are with Muhammed's family and friends.

"We are following a number of lines of enquiry and have already spoken with a number of witnesses but we'd urge anyone who has not yet talked to us, but thinks they may information, to get in touch.

"As we continue to establish exactly what happened, we'd ask anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage from the area over Saturday night and into Sunday morning to contact us or use the link below to upload the footage."
