KILLER ON WATCH
Levi Bellfield monitored around the clock after confessing to Lin and Megan Russell murders
JAILED serial killer Levi Bellfield is being monitored around the clock after he confessed to the 1996 hammer murders of Lin and Megan Russell.
The fiend, 53, who tried to hang himself last year, is being watched after officers grew worried about “erratic behaviour”.
A source said he is not officially on suicide watch but added: “Officers are ensuring he doesn’t harm himself.
“He says what he said is true. He’s agitated about how his family reacted.”
His confession to the Kent murders of Lin, 45, and Megan, six, is being studied.
Michael Stone, 61, is serving life for them.
Bellfield is serving life at Frankland, Co Durham, for murdering Milly Dowler, 13, and two women.
