HORROR CCTV footage captures the harrowing moment a woman was attacked from behind by a total stranger and left unconscious in a playing field.
Sicko Carl Pass, 48, is shown "zapping" the woman in the neck and torso as she walked home from a night out.
The shocking attack took place in West Common Lane playing fields in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, on October 10 last year.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Pass approached his victim from behind, before she said she was "zapped" in the neck and torso.
Video shows the unnamed woman trying to flee before Pass pinned her face down on the ground, placing his hand over her mouth until she passed out.
She remained unconscious for over two minutes before Pass returned to the scene of his crime, pretending to be a worried passer-by who had found her unconscious so she wouldn't recognise him as her attacker.
Police believe he assumed she wouldn't recognise him and he could commit a further attack on her.
But thankfully, genuine passers-by came to take her to safety, before she reported the crime to Humberside Police.
Pass, of Neville Road, Scunthorpe, was quickly identified and arrested and has been remanded in custody since.
Yesterday, he pleaded guilty to committing an offence with the intention to commit a sexual offence at Grimsby Crown Court.

He was jailed for more than three years for the attack and was also placed on the sex offenders register for life.
"This incident was shocking and distressing, even more so due to the level of violence used by Carl Pass against the victim," Detective
Constable Katie Drapier from Humberside Police said after sentencing:
"The victim has been so incredibly brave throughout and I can't begin to put myself in her shoes.
"I would like to thank her, her family and all the witnesses who came forward to assist our investigation, for their support throughout and for their kind comments passed on to my team."
On sentencing, Judge Fanning said: "At a time when the resolve of certain police forces to address crimes against women is questioned by many, this police force, and its officers, are to be commended for the speed with which they reacted, and the resources and zeal poured into this case in order to find you so quickly on initially limited evidence.
"It was a truly impressive piece of detective work."
Detective Inspector Ruth Penning, also from the force's PVP unit, said: "Whilst the number of stranger attacks like these, particularly of this severity, remain low in our area, we understand that incidents of sexual harassment, abuse, and assault against women are not uncommon throughout the UK, and our area is very sadly not an exception to that."
She added that policing violence against women and girls "remains a Force priority," and the police were committed to making the streets safer.

The officer said she hoped the "swift actions" taken to arrest "dangerous" Pass would help reassure the community and warn any potential offenders.
She said that "specialist support networks" are in place for victims, and encourage people to come forward to the police or independent anonymous charity Crimestoppers "when they're ready."
