Countdown winner jailed after discussing rape and murder of young child

A TV Countdown winner has been jailed for 12 years after discussing the rape and murder of a young child.

Craig Chittenden, 33, wrote to another paedophile to say they should abduct, abuse and kill a girl aged three or four.

He stated: “We will probably only keep her for a day max, a few rapes then end it.”

He was finally caught after arranging a trip to sexually abuse a girl of ten. He thought his contact was her dad but it was an undercover cop.

The pervert, of Willington, Co Durham, admitted child sex offences at Durham crown court.

Judge Ray Singh said: “You are a dangerous offender.”
