The circle features a in alternating that alternates to create the illusion that the photo is moving. Inside the circle are hidden numbers, some of which are obscured by the pattern.

";DO you see a number?" wrote Benonwine. "If so, what number?"

Users in the comments debated over how many numbers were in the photo. One user wrote: "45 283… and what's the catch? Should I book an appointment with my GP?"

In response, another user said: "Yes, because you missed a digit."

Another user claimed to have seen more numbers. "3452839. I had more trouble remembering what I saw than seeing it," they said. "Could only remember 2 numbers at a time. Eyesight great. Memory crap."

One user posed a theory that the numbers a person sees may depend on their "contrast sensitivity."

"It can be tested by opticians," said the user. "Worth doing if you're struggling, as it can affect your ability to see at night, or in the rain, fog, etc."

According to Science Direct, contrast sensitivity is the measure of a person's ability to distinguish an object from its background.

Certain eye-related conditions or diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy can affect a person's contrast sensitivity.

However, amongst all the debates, one user took the opportunity to make a joke.

"It just says 'KILL'." wrote the user, a reference to the popular "Yanny or Laurel" meme.
